Karla Shannon started off writing novels when she was 8 years old and her passion for writing led her to study communications in university where she specialized in both journalism and public relations. After graduating, she worked in the marketing and public relations field for a few years and then decided to do a complete career change by pursuing an occupation she was always interested in, being a 911 police call-taker. She now works full time for 911 as a Team Lead helping support her peers and other departments in reaching their goals.
